Based out of Atlanta Georgia, the ISSUES are an unalduterated hard pop/rock band with an international agenda. Founded in 2002, the band has a well known reputation for it's bombastic, in-your-face live performances and songwriting abilities -- the result of hundreds of shows and a larger-than-life rock & roll attitude.
The ISSUES lineup consists of a three-piece powerhouse featuring Wayne Vokovich on vocals and bass, Billy McNeil on guitars and John Peterson on drums. Musical influences include Green Day, Butch Walker, Iggy Pop & the Clash.
Toward the end of 2002, lead vocalist & producer Mark Slaughter, of the 90's metal band "Slaughter" happened to walk in on an ISSUES show and decided immediately to work with the band. Slaughter produced 5 tracks on the ISSUES' 2003 EP release entitled "RAWK " which has received self generated, regional airplay and critical acclaim.
In addition, the ISSUES members have garnered professional and critical recognition both collectively as well as individually. Notable accomplishments include self-generated airplay in numerous markets, rotation On XM Satellite Radio, XM Satellite Radio - XM57 Top 10 most requested 5 months running(Feature Band)
Honorable Mention in Billboard Magazine's Annual Song Contests, featured on dozens of compilation CD's and music Samplers, FATBIRD Magazine's 2005 Top 100 Bands In Atlanta, featured artist on EA Games NHL Hockey 2005, songs featured on MTV's Fraternity Life & Sorority Life & music on the Fresh Fish 3 surf video, as well as music featured in a United Way fund raising video.
In April 2007 The ISSUES released their new EP, Alien Tattooed Lover. The band worked with producer John Briglevich (Sevendust, Bowling for Soup, Edwin McCain, The Honeyrods, Third Day) at his Sonica Studios in Atlanta, GA. This independent release is receiving regional airplay and excellent early reviews. The ISSUES are touring the Southeast now in support of the EP.
